How to Identify a Tractor Alternator Before Ordering a Replacement
Use the OEM number, mounting layout, pulley, connector, and visible label details to prepare an alternator inquiry.
Start with the OEM number on the alternator or in the parts book. If the number is not readable, the next most useful details are mounting ears, pulley type, rear connector, voltage label, and photos of how the unit sits on the machine.
For tractors sold across multiple markets or production years, similar model names may use different electrical arrangements. Include serial number and old-part photos so the application can be checked before quotation.
