What to send for agricultural parts sourcing
A clear sourcing request helps reduce wrong references and repeated emails. Put one item per row when sending a list, and keep numbers, product names, quantities, and notes in separate columns.
- OEM or part number copied exactly from the old part, label, package, or catalog.
- Old-part photos showing markings, mounting, connector, port, pulley, spline, seal, or end shape.
- Machine brand reference, model, serial number or production year when available.
- Required quantity, destination country, and any packaging or label requirements.
- Critical dimensions when the number is missing or unclear.
Avoid ambiguity
Why a model name alone is not enough
A tractor or harvester model can use different parts across production years, serial ranges, market versions, engine options, transmissions, or previous repairs. The OEM number and old-part photos usually provide stronger evidence than the machine model alone.
